Distributed Artificial Intelligence And The HLA : Bridging The Gap Lance
نویسندگان
چکیده
The fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and simulation have shared close ties since their inception. Simulations have often served as theoretical test-beds for evaluating various AI algorithms, many of which have later served to enable “intelligent” control of autonomous entities within various simulations. However, as AI and simulation have extended into the domain of parallel processing, yielding distributed AI (DAI) and distributed simulation respectively, this close relationship seems to have faltered. My PhD research seeks to identify and ideally overcome the factors constraining the use of DAI within the High Level Architecture (HLA), laying the ground-work for the practical use of DAI as a decoupled, flexible service to HLA simulations. This paper provides a brief summary of the research project; examining the issues and constraining factors discovered, the proposed solution, and the findings and results gathered thus far.

Bridging the semantic gap for software effort estimation by hierarchical feature selection techniques
Software project management is one of the significant activates in the software development process. Software Development Effort Estimation (SDEE) is a challenging task in the software project management. SDEE is an old activity in computer industry from 1940s and has been reviewed several times. A SDEE model is appropriate if it provides the accuracy and confidence simultaneously before softwa...
متن کاملTitle: Bridging the gap between brains, cognition and deep learning
Connectionist ideas from three decades ago have fuelled a revolution in artificial intelligence with the rise of deep learning methods. Both the older connectionist ideas and the newer ones owe a lot to inspiration from the brain, but the gap between deep learning and neuroscience remains wide. We lay down some of these old ideas, based on learning distributed representations in order to jointl...

متن کاملThe Optimal Placement of Distributed Generation (DG) to Improve the Voltage Profile and Reduce Losses in Radial Distribution Networks Using PSO
Voltage profile and losses are important factors in a distribution network in which there arevariety of ways to improve them. In this paper, distributed generation (DG) is used as a solutionto improve the above characteristics. Backward/Forward Sweep load flow algorithm is used dueto the inefficiency of usual load flow algorithms because of high R/X ratio and their lack ofconvergence in distrib...
متن کاملPresenting a Novel Algorithm to Optimal Designing Power Distribution Network in the Presence of DG
Regarding the nature of non-linear discrete placement, and in order to determine the optimal capacity of the substation, the goal in the present study will be a number of local optimum points. In this research, the problem of optimal placement posts to reduce power losses by considering Distributed Generation (DG). In formulating the objective function, geographical distribution density in the ...
